BOGOR PALACE
Located in the central of Bogor City Jl. Ir. H. Juanda No. 1 Bogor with the extent of 28 hectares, completed by hundreds of deers and more than 100 huge trees in large yard. Governor General Gustaf Willem Baron Van Imhoff built it as a villa in 1745. Known as Istana Bogor, this group of buildings is located on the northern side of Botanical Garden. The main building, Buitenzorg (”without a formality”), dated back in 1856 and was the official residence of the General Governor of the Dutch East Indies. After Indonesia´s Independence, it became a Presidential Palace most frequently visited by the first President Soekarno.
TEA PLANTATIONS AND FACTORY
The Gunung Mas estate in Tugu covers the steep slopes on the right hand side on the road going up to Puncak from Bogor. You can drink Gunung Mas Tea and buy export quality mountain tea. You can also go for walk in the tea plantation and children can ride horses.
